    CISD Library Mission Statement
The school library media center's mission is to ensure that students and staff are effective users of ideas and information.

    CISD Library Philosophy
The Library Media Center (LMC) provides a comprehensive collection of varied resources for students, faculty, and school community that presents varying levels of difficulty, diversity of appeal, and multiple points of view.
The LMC recognizes that political, moral, religious, and aesthetic philosophies among individuals or groups may differ and holds that intellectual freedom is accorded to all.
Materials/resources will be selected that complement, enrich, and/or extend the curriculum as well as address diverse needs or rapidly changing circumstances among the population. These materials shall include but not be limited to print, non-print, electronic, on-line resources, and future technologies that may become available.
    CISD Library Objectives
