    Who can apply?
    Any CISD student can apply for a MyChoice Program, even if the program you are interested in is offered at a different school than your home campus.

    Can my student apply for multiple programs?
    Yes. Students have the opportunity to apply for up to three MyChoice Programs. Applications will be considered in the order of your selections (ex. 1st choice, 2nd choice, etc.).

    How will students be selected?
    Student applications will be reviewed by a team of administrators. A lottery will be conducted for each MyChoice Program.

    Can I fill out the application from my cell phone?
    The application is not available through all carriers, using a personal computer is the most efficient way. If you do not have access to a personal computer please call 817-297-5242 to schedule an appointment to utilize one at the administration building by appointment.

    Can I edit my application once it is submitted?
    No, once the application is submitted you will need to call 817-297-5278 to make any edits.

    How many students will be selected?
    Space is limited, but we want as many students as possible to take advantage of our MyChoice Programs. The number of students selected for each program will vary from school to school.
     
    My child is already enrolled in a MyChoice Program this school year. Do they need to submit a new application for the 2019-20 school year? 
    No, students in current choice programs automatically roll up with the cohort to the next grade level.

    Is there automatic acceptance for siblings?
    No. An application must be submitted for each sibling. All applications will be seated by lottery and weighted equally.

    Will transportation be provided?
    For the 2019-20 school year, bus transportation will be available to each of the MyChoice Programs for students who live two miles or further from the MyChoice academy of attendance and/or for students who live along a hazardous route, based on CISD transportation guidelines. 

    Elementary programs:
    Will utilize neighborhood stops (within 0.2 miles of residence)
    Intermediate, Middle and High School Programs: Will utilize neighborhood stops (within 0.5 miles of residence)

    Will Special Education services be offered?
    Yes. Special Education services will be offered to eligible students in every MyChoice Program.

    What if none of these new programs interest me or my student? Can we choose to stay at our home campus?
    Absolutely! We will continue to offer the same traditional learning programs that our CISD students and families love at every campus. You can stay at your home campus or apply for a MyChoice Program. The choice is yours!

    Will any other new programs be added in the future?
    Yes. We want to expand our MyChoice Programs every school year. If you have an idea for a new program, please let us know!
     
    What is dress code for MyChoice Programs?
    Dress codes vary from program to program. For more information, please check with your campus administrator.
