• Why Volunteer?
Children need to know that their community believes in them. Whatever your gifts, passions, and skills may be, apply them in creative ways to invest in our students, the future generation. Doing so multiplies what our campus can do to impact each young life we touch and ensure academic achievement for every child—we cannot be successful without you.

While our greatest campus needs are Mentors and Readers, there are many ways to be involved. Primary volunteer roles include:
    • Greeter
    • Lunch Buddy
    • Mentor
    • Reader
    • Classroom support
    • Workroom
    • Special events
    • Library
    • Student Recognition
To help you have the best possible experience as a volunteer, we've created a Volunteer Handbook (Spanish). It will answer frequently asked questions and provide information about our campus, beliefs, expectations and procedures, and your role as a volunteer.
We ask you to read the Volunteer Handbook (Spanish) carefully and refer to it whenever questions arise. Please do not hesitate to ask questions by reaching out to our volunteer coordinator. We are here to support you and want to ensure your experience at Sycamore is positive and rewarding.
