25 Crowley ISD student-athletes have now signed their National Letters of Intent to compete in football, volleyball, basketball, soccer, track & field and baseball at various universities or colleges in 2023.

Overall, the class will be scattered across 11 different states next fall. States represented throughout both signing periods include: Alabama, Kansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, Minnesota, Nebraska, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Dakota and Texas.

The February National Signing Day is the second period a high school senior can sign a binding Letter of Intent for college football. Although there are numerous signing periods for college sports, football, which also offers a December signing period, is the most followed. A letter of intent is binding for both the player and school for one academic year, as long as the player is eligible to enroll at the college.

Crowley High School February Signing Period
Crowley High School senior football standouts Colby Dunn, Mekhi Ford and LeTron King all signed with Texas Wesleyan University in Fort Worth. Other CHS signings include Elijah Mckinney, who will run track and field for Hardin-Simmons University in Abilene, and baseball all-district selection Nate Boultinghouse, who will compete for Bethany College in Kansas. Finally, senior setter Jaden Polovina will travel to Kansas to play volleyball for McPherson College. 

North Crowley High School Signing Period
In May, Devon Jackson signed with Doane University in Nebraska, while teammate Yafniel Pastrana will play for Mount Marty University out of South Dakota. Other signees include Naeta Hinson, who will join teammate Dejaun Lacy at Mississippi Valley State University next fall. Rounding out the North Crowley football May signees is Antonio Gillom, who will stay in the state of Texas to play for Kilgore College. 

On the hardwood, Caiden Cochran will take his talents to Missouri Valley College in Marshall, Mo., while Zechariah Talbot will compete for Texas Wesleyan University in Fort Worth. On the girl's side, Amiya Hopkins will travel to Rhode Island to suit up for Brown University. Other Panther signees include senior standouts Baylee Mitchell and Brandy Jones. Mitchell will play for Neosho County Community College in Chanute, Kansas, while Jones will don the Yellow and Black for Tyler Junior College. 

Finally, senior Giovanni Hernandez-Bahena will play soccer for Dallas Christian College, while on the girl's side, Olivia Morrow (Alabama State University) and Vyla Gammer (Austin College) will both battle it out on the pitch in 2023-24. 

In February, NCHS cornerback Armani Green inked with Concordia University, St. Paul in Minnesota, while teammate Kaleb Hickmon will join Dunn, Ford and King at Texas Wesleyan University next fall. Also signing was Anthony Green-Felder who will travel to Pennsylvania to play for the Pride of Widener University. Running back Dejaun Lacy rounded out the Panther football signees by signing with Mississippi Valley State University. Finally, senior volleyball standout Alanna Deering will don the maroon and gold of Texas A&M University-Texarkana next fall.

In December, senior linebacker S’Maje Burrell signed with the University of Texas, while tight end Ka’Morreun Pimpton will take his talents to Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, La. The group helped lead North Crowley to a 12-1 overall record, a district championship and its deepest playoff run since 2003 this past season.
