New Employee Onboarding Process

Step 1: Recommendation for Hire
Once your recommendation for hire paperwork has been submitted by your supervisor to Human Capital Management (HCM), you’ll receive a phone call with instructions to kick-start your onboarding journey.

Step 2: Fingerprint Appointment/Background Check
New hires in professional and paraprofessional roles undergo fingerprinting through the Texas Education Agency. An HCM specialist will reach out to new hires to explain the background and fingerprint process. Processing fingerprints typically takes 2-5 days to complete once initiated.

Step 3: Paraeducator Assessment
If you are a candidate for an instructional paraeducator position without a degree or less than 48 college credit hours, you will need to schedule your paraeducator assessment with our HCM specialist prior to completing the hiring process. An HCM specialist will reach out to you to schedule your date and time for the test.

Step 4: New Hire Forms
Once your background check has been cleared, an HCM specialist will send you via email your new hire forms to your personal email.

Step 5: Human Capital Management Appointment:
Once the new hire paperwork is completed, an HCM specialist will contact you to schedule your onboarding appointment. Bring the following documents to your onboarding session:

List of Acceptable documents

  • Social Security card (for payroll purposes)
  • Driver’s license (for payroll purposes)
  • Official college transcripts for professional staff (required within 30 days)
  • Service records from previous districts, out-of-state records, college verification form and relevant work experience form, if applicable (required within 60 days)
  • You will also receive an email with your "Welcome to Crowley ISD" letter with your CISD network credentials.
  • Check your CISD email frequently for additional onboarding notifications.

Please note that additional documents may be requested by your Human Capital Management specialist that is applicable to your position. It is important that you do not report to work until your HCM specialist has cleared you and confirmed your start date.

Step 6:  Access Your Crowley ISD Email Account for Online Documents
Thoroughly read through any onboarding instructions sent to your personal email address from your assigned HCM specialist.

Step 7: Submit Survey
To complete your onboarding process, submit the Human Capital Management survey to help our team continue to provide service and support to our new hires.

Step 8: Staff Badge
Badge photos will be taken at the Crowley ISD police station (2205 N. Crowley Cleburne Road) immediately following your onboarding appointment. Each new hire must present the HCM new hire ticket to take your staff picture upon arrival. Note: Badges will be sent to your designated campus or assigned location.
