Bilingual Education
Bilingual education is a term that refers to the teaching of academic content in two languages, in a native and second language. Varying amounts of each language are used depending on the outcome goal of the model. There are different program models that can be used in bilingual education. Historically, program models used for English Learners have focused on helping students transition from their native language to English.
The Gomez and Gomez Dual Language Education (DLE) model is utilized in CISD for our Bilingual programs. Crowley Independent School District offers bilingual programs in both Spanish and Vietnamese.

Early Childhood Access
Students who are given the advantage of attending a Pre-Kindergarten program develop much needed emotional, academic and social skills they may otherwise lack when entering kindergarten. Young learners can gain confidence as they master academic concepts and learn to cooperate with their peers, helping them to be more successful in kindergarten and beyond.
-
Career and Tech Education
Career and Technical Education in Crowley ISD provides opportunities for students to take a sequence of courses in high school that prepare them for entry-level work in a career path. All CTE Programs of Study lead to either an industry certification in that area or college credit.

Advanced Academics
Crowley ISD is dedicated to preparing students for life beyond high school. To help our students and families understand what it takes to become college, career and military ready, we have gathered resources for students of all ages on this page, including information on college admission, financial aid, and exam preparation.
In CISD, every campus has a focus on college and career preparation and the district intentionally focuses on students graduating ready to be placed in a career or college. In elementary the journey begins with exploration and experiences in STEM+. In middle school the focus continues with a STEM+ focus but students are able to select a career pathway to begin and take the PSAT to guide the college readiness journey. High school continues with a focus on college readiness and career pathway experience.
Students have access to preparation materials for SAT/ACT and Advanced Placement. The district offers different types of opportunities to gain college credit during high school through dual credit, UT OnRamps, and Advanced Placement courses. See links for more detailed information on the Crowley journey and resources.
