Trustee Michael Laszek regards the students of Crowley ISD as future leaders on both national and international levels.

“That’s what’s going to drive me,” Laszek said. “I see that vision of them, and I want them to get there.”

Laszek was appointed to the Crowley ISD Board of Trustees in October 2025 to fill the vacant seat left by Dr. Mia Hall when she was elected to the Fort Worth City Council.

As the parent of three daughters enrolled in Crowley ISD schools, Laszek pursued this position out of a sincere interest in board operations and a commitment to leveraging his professional expertise to advance the district’s mission.

“At the core of it, is having a thriving student,” he said.

His professional experience includes 35 years in quality assurance within the pharmaceuticals, biologics and medical device industry.

“Continuous improvement — the heart of quality assurance,” he said, “coupled with my interest in education because of my daughters, are perspectives I would bring to the board. It just seems to be a good fit.”

Laszek chose Crowley ISD for his children after meeting with educators at the campuses his children would attend. He left those visits impressed with their commitment and compassion in supporting students along their academic journey.

“This is where we wanted our girls to grow and develop,” he explained.

He appreciates receiving frequent updates from Crowley ISD about new opportunities for his children, from academics, to sports to other activities and events.

“All these options help students succeed,” he said. “I really value the regular communication.”

Partnerships with Paul Quinn College and Tarrant To & Through (T3), as well as programs like Crowley Collegiate Academy are exciting to Laszek. These are opportunities he never had as a student.

He’s also excited to see the district building new facilities equipped with resources in support for students to obtain a great education.

Laszek earned a master’s degree in Quality Assurance and Regulatory Affairs from Temple University. He also serves as the captain of the Crowley Collegiate Academy chapter of the national All Pro Dad program.

His wife volunteers in support of CISD and community initiatives, serves as president of the PTA at North Crowley High School and as the Crowley ISD PTA Liaison.

He hopes to contribute to building the pride students feel with the education they receive at CISD schools. Students should feel future-ready, having been given meaningful opportunities to gain valuable skills and equipped to apply their knowledge on both national and international levels.

“This is the vision I hold for these students,” he said.

Fun Fact: He and his wife originate from the East and West Coasts, respectively. Having spent time in Fort Worth, both fell in love with the culture, and decided to make Crowley their home, where all three daughters were born. Laszek enjoys playing guitar, cooking and reading history and historical fiction novels.
