STEM Plus

Crowley ISD students are challenged with STEM learning in the classroom and extracurricular activities to apply their learning to real-world applications.
The STEM Plus program focuses on building capacity in our learner profiles and their 21st century skills through applications of cultural relevance, collaboration, engineering design process and communication skills.
Students are introduced to STEM and STEM careers through exploration and creative hands-on activities in Pre-K through 2nd grade. Students in 3rd through 5th grades engage in student-centered learning to identify projects for which they are passionate.
At the four middle schools and two ninth grade campuses, students are able to select electives that pique their interests and lead them into a career pathway in high school. Students will also have access to after school programs or clubs through STEM Plus.

Nationally-Certified Program
Crowley ISD’s STEM Department is now officially certified by the National Institute for STEM Education (NISE), making us the first district in North Texas to achieve this distinction. After a year-long certification process, the STEM Department has earned this honor, reflecting our commitment to providing high-quality, innovative STEM education for all students.
