Welcome Back

David L. Walker Logo

Greetings,

My name is Ms. Montgomery and I am excited to introduce myself as the new principal of The Accelerated Learning Academy at David L. Walker Elementary. I am honored to have been selected to join Crowley Impendent School District, which is known far and wide for its dedication to excellence. Over the past 21 years, I have worked as a teacher and administrator at Crowley High School. However, my most outstanding achievement comes not professionally but personally, as I am the mother of twins: Cole is a freshman in college at Oklahoma Baptist, and Courtlynn attends college in San Antonio. Please know that I will work tirelessly to ensure that all your children have the best possible experiences at The Accelerated Learning Academy.

I look forward to working with all of the parents because, as the old African Proverb states, “It takes a village to raise a child.” I am excited to see your children through your eyes. I cannot wait to share with you the great things they do throughout their days here at the ALA, and of course, I will be here to work with you should they need any help navigating any aspect of the school day.

Once again, I am thankful to have the opportunity to bring all that I have experienced and learned with me to your wonderful community. I look forward to getting to know you and your children. I will be working most days this summer to ensure a smooth transition and opening on July 12. Would you mind stopping by to say hello? We will also have meet the teacher on July 10 from 6-6:45 p.m. and then an outdoor family fun night from 6:45–8 p.m. I look forward to meeting you and your family!
