Four Crowley ISD Students Named to All-State Band, Choir Ensembles

Four Crowley ISD high school seniors were recognized with the highest honor Texas music students can achieve — earning a place in the coveted Texas Music Educators Association All-State band and choir ensembles.

More than 1,600 students are selected through a process that begins with more than 64,000 students statewide vying to perform in one of 15 ensembles (bands, orchestras and choirs), according to the Texas Music Educators Association. All-State students participate in three days of rehearsals directed by nationally recognized conductors during the group’s annual convention, which is scheduled this year for Feb. 10-13 in San Antonio.

Crowley ISD All-State band and choir members also will be introduced at the January school board meeting.

Congratulations to the following students:

Crowley High School Band

  •          Joey Ibarra, senior, trumpet player, 5A Symphonic Band

North Crowley High School Band

  •          Seth Rodriguez, senior, French horn player, 6A All-State

North Crowley High School Choir

  •          Leann Indolos, senior, Soprano 1 Treble Choir
  •          Kennedy Miller, senior, Alto 2 Mixed Choir

“All-State is a prestigious honor for student-musicians in Texas,” Crowley ISD Superintendent Dr. Dan Powell said. “We are so very proud of Joey, Seth, Leann, Kennedy, and their directors. They are each great examples of the incredible talent and award-winning performing arts programs in Crowley ISD.”
