Crowley ISD needs your input as we plan for a safe return to school on August 13, 2020.
The COVID-19 global health pandemic has forced every institution and industry to make adjustments and modifications. Developing new schedules and structures for school is one of the possibilities that has been suggested to help with social distancing and prevent the spread of illness.
No final decisions have been made, and we continue working closely with health officials and the Texas Education Agency to provide a safe, healthy environment for all students and staff.
Please review some of these possible school schedule options below, and then take our survey to let us know what might work best for you and your family.
There are two surveys available:
- Parents of elementary (pre-k-5th grade) students
- Parents of secondary (6th-12th grade) students
(If you have students in each category, you can complete each survey.)
Possible Options
Option 1: Face-to-Face Instruction and At-Home Learning
- Face-to-face instruction would begin in August and continue throughout the school year with an A-Day/B-Day schedule.
- Half of the students would report to school buildings on Mondays and Tuesdays and the other half of the students would report to school buildings on Wednesdays and Thursdays.
- All students would participate in at-home learning on Fridays.
Option 2: At-Home Learning in Fall 2020 and then transition to Face-to-Face Instruction and At-Home Learning in Spring 2021
- At-home learning would begin in August and then face-to-face instruction would be added in January with an A-Day/B-Day schedule.
- Half of the students would report to school buildings on Mondays and Tuesdays and the other half of the students would report to school buildings on Wednesdays and Thursdays.
- All students would participate in at-home learning on Fridays.
Option 3: At-Home Learning Only
- At-home learning would begin in August and continue throughout the school year.
- No face-to-face instruction would occur.
Option 4: Face-to-Face Instruction Only
- Face-to-face instruction would begin in August and continue throughout the school year, Monday-Friday.
