Crowley ISD School Board Trustees approved a lower total tax rate of $1.4429, which includes $.9429 for Maintenance and Operations and $.50 cents for Interest and Sinking for debt. The tax rate is dropping a little more than 4 cents from last year.

This tax rate will help fund the $177.1 million budget that trustees approved at the June meeting.

Because of House Bill 3, CISD is reducing the Maintenance & Operations side of the tax rate from $.9841.

These tax rates will produce tax revenue of $88,837,505 for Maintenance and Operations and $46,337,108 for Interest and Sinking.

Texas Proposition 2 increased the homestead exemption from $25,000 to $40,000. In addition, Crowley ISD continues to offer a 10% homestead exemption to its taxpayers, which is the highest homestead exemption offered in all of Tarrant County.
