(August 15, 2019) – Crowley ISD is celebrating significant academic gains made by students in every school across the district as the Texas Education Agency (TEA) releases the 2019 accountability ratings. These ratings are one of the many tools Crowley ISD uses to identify targeted areas for academic improvement and to monitor student success.
Superintendent Dr. Michael McFarland said these improved scores are the result of dedicated educators, families and school board trustees who are committed to success for all students across the district.
“We are incredibly proud of the academic gains our students are making at every level,” McFarland said. “The district’s 13-point jump from 70 to 83 is significant and deserves celebration, but we know that our students and schools are much more than a letter grade. These standardized tests are important, but they are just one of the many tools we use in CISD to provide all students with excellence in education.”
