Advanced Placement Test Registration Open

AP CollegeBoard Advanced Placement Program

To Crowley ISD parents and students in the Advanced Placement program,

Thank you for participating in the College Board Advanced Placement (AP) program. The College Board has made significant improvements in their services and reporting. You will have more resources than ever to be successful. In order to access these improvements, we are asking students and parents to complete a few items:

• ACCESS YOUR ACCOUNT: Make sure that you have access to your College Board account. If you are new to the AP program, your student’s teacher will assist in setting up their account. You will get all score reports and new classroom resources through your College Board account. We know that the vast majority of our students have enrolled and are ready to go!

• AUTOMATICALLY OPT IN: All AP students are automatically registered for the AP exam for each AP course that they are enrolled in unless the student opts out by October 15. They will receive instructions from their teacher on how to opt out. But we are strongly encouraging them to take the exam! We realize that registration and payment for exams is much earlier than in past years, but College Board is now requiring fall test registration and ordering. Students in a spring-only AP class will register in February.

• PAY FOR YOUR TESTS: Starting on October 1, students will be able to go to the Total Registration account for their high school and register and pay for their AP exam(s). The last day to make the payment will be October 31. Crowley ISD has to order exams in early November and exams will only be ordered for those who have made the initial payment.
