Why did you choose education as a career?
I want to make a difference and positively impact the trajectory of students' lives.

    Why is education important?
Education serves as a vehicle to better oneself. It opens doors that may have previously been closed. Being literate is the foundation for advancement in any path a student may choose.

What do you enjoy most about being the principal of Richard J. Allie Middle School?
I enjoy the daily opportunities to interact with students, teachers, parents and community members. I enjoy the challenges that come with being a principal--finding solutions to problems and enacting positive change to help students grow.

What is your hope for your campus?
Richard J. Allie is building literacy to expand his horizons. This school is dedicated to student growth in reading, writing and speaking, which are skills that can transform students' lives. In conjunction with improving technological literacy, we are committed to preparing students to be career ready, college ready and life ready.

    Tell us about your family.
I am married to a teacher at Dallas Park Elementary, Mrs. White. We have two beautiful children, Addison and Austin, and a dog named Chloe, who was found on the side of the road in a box with her brothers and sisters. I enjoy reading, playing golf and cheering on any Texas Longhorns teams in my spare time.
