Board Recognizes Teacher Incentive Allotment Recipients

CISD Teacher Incentive Allotment Recipients

Crowley ISD is excited to announce that 53 teachers recently earned Teachers Incentive Allotment (TIA) designations from the state. They will receive extra pay as part of a recruiting and retention program that identifies outstanding teachers, based on student growth and classroom observation. There are now 80 TIA designated teachers across 20 campuses Crowley ISD.

The goal of the TIA program is to recruit, retain and reward high-quality teachers by providing additional pay based on performance. TIA was created in 2019 as part of House Bill 3.

Teacher designations result in additional funding for our district to reward our most effective teachers. Designations can be earned through two routes. National Board Certified teachers are eligible to earn a "Recognized" designation, while districts may designate teachers through an approved local system.

Each designation level receives different levels of incentive pay. CISD's average allotment is about $4,500 for a Recognized level, $9,000 for an Exemplary level and $17,500 for a Master level. Once a teacher earns a designation, it remains on their teaching certificate for five years.
