  • International Travel Procedures Due to COVID-19
    On Jan. 26, 2021, President Biden signed an Executive Order on Promoting COVID-19 Safety in Domestic and International Travel. The Centers for Disease Central and Prevention (CDC) has issued guidelines in response to the Executive Order. Based on these guidelines, the following procedure will take effect immediately and require employees who travel internationally to quarantine prior to returning to work in Crowley Independent School District (CISD).

    Any employee who travels internationally (including Canada and Mexico) by air, car or sea, will be required to self-quarantine before returning to work. The employee must complete one of the required quarantine options below:

    • If an employee is not tested for COVID-19 after returning from international travel, they must self-quarantine for 10 days after travel and may return to work on day 11. 

    • If an employee chooses to be tested for COVID-19 after returning from international travel, they must wait at least 3 to 5 days after travel to take the test. However, the employee must still self-quarantine for 7 days.  If the employee’s COVID-19 test result is negative, the employee may return to work on day 8.

    CISD does not recommend international travel, but should an employee decide to do so, they must plan, in advance, to take the additional days required to self-quarantine before returning to work. Discuss all international travel plans with your principal/supervisor.   • 2020 W-2 Now Available
    Please be advised that your 2020 Form W-2 is now available. Crowley ISD is providing access to your Form W-2 via the Employee Access Center where you can print your own copy. It is the responsibility of each employee to utilize the Employee Access Center to obtain your Form W-2.

  • HR Hot Topics - Limitations on Discretionary Leave

    Per the Employee Handbook, discretionary personal leave may not be taken for more than three consecutive days and shall not be allowed for campus personnel who hold an instructional position when it affects the following listed below *:

    1. The last working day before a school holiday
    2. The first working day after a school holiday
    3. The first day of school
    4. The last day of school
    5. A staff development day, teacher workday or early release day
    6. A day scheduled for end-of-class or end-of-year semester exams. Any day the campus is affected by state-mandated assessments or District-required tests.

    * Local and/or state days may not be used to compensate for absences outlined above.

  • COVID-19 Employee Exposure or Diagnosis Flowchart
    Crowley ISD has created a flow chart of responsibilities for Crowley ISD employees who believe they have been exposed or diagnosed with COVID-19. Please do not come to work if you or someone in your household has been tested for COVID-19 and is awaiting results.

    The Families First Cornovirus Relief Act (FFCRA) expired Dec. 31, 2020. The most recent stimulus bill does not extend COVID-19 related paid sick leave.
